LRU and LLRU test program development using National Instruments software

National Instrument LabVIEW

Combining the power of National Instruments software with the modular, reconfigurable hardware of the S500 helps to overcome the ever-increasing complexity involved in delivering effective test programs to test and accurately identify the cause of UUT failures.

LabVIEW™ is a graphical software development environment and when applied to the Diagnosys S500 test platform it helps to make it simpler to visualize, create and code LRU and LLRU test programs.

The use of this industry standard commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software provides a cost effective and powerful test development and execution environment. Also as it is in use in many industry sectors and has a large user base it allows test applications to be installed and rapidly put to use.

  • Commercially available off-the-shelf software
  • Accepted as an Industry Standard software environment
  • Powerful and graphical full-featured programming environment
  • Large user base across many industry sectors

LabVIEW allows the use of different test programming approaches utilizing the latest technologies and features to describe the way a UUT works which can then be executed on an S500 system.

TestStand is test management software which includes a ready-to-run test sequence engine that supports multiple test code languages, flexible result reporting, and parallel / multithreaded test.

LabWindows/CVI is an ANSI C integrated test development environment and engineering toolbox with built-in libraries for measurement, analysis, and engineering UI design.
